We not only build software for making learning more accessible, but through education and community, we empower our members and their families to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future
Technology in Indiaβs educational system is acting more as an alternative delivery mechanism while the process and system of education remain traditional.
Other EdTech companies are only providing a digital delivery of content in a more accessible way to factions of the society that have the purchasing power. The ones doing this better are being able to attract more funding.
At Ilmtech, however, we do things differently.
Ilmtech was founded by Junaid Khan in early 2021 with one big idea: "Tech-based pedagogy". As a software engineer, Junaid was well aware of the drawbacks of the Indian educational system. Appointed to help a local school with setting up Zoom accounts and Google Drive, he quickly realized the need for a personalized platform for students and teachers.
Borrowing the school's classroom as working space, he created Edify. He soon realized the need and potential for innovative solutions to comeback the pitfalls of traditional education system. Since then, Ilmtech has conducted virtual marathons for teachers, organized a virtual readathon for students, conducted numerous tech programs at colleges, and provided jobs to young professionals.
A software engineer, educator, and an autodidact - Junaid khan is the founder and CEO of Ilmtech. He started his online learning journey back in college, when he skipped college lectures to study online courses in the library.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Junaid envisions a world where anyone, anywhere has the power to transform their lives through education.
When he's not at work, you can find reading a book, or hosting a virtual game night for friends & family.
